Oh Evie, the journey from two to three has been a wild adventure. When you turned two I braced myself for the year ahead, but nothing could have prepared me for what was to come. You were a patient and agreeable champ during the sell of our old house and the move into our new home. On the first morning that we came to get your out of your crib in the new house you were as naked as the day you were born. I should have known then that the months ahead would be crazy. You started a new school and you struggled. Your old school was setup differently and while I knew you were behind in some areas, your delays became more obvious as you joined the class at the new school. We started you in services to work on your quirks. Some days were really, really hard on you and us. Then after three or four months of hard work with your specialists, teachers, helpers and parents something magical happened. You slowed down. You began to understand schedules and began playing with other children. You're coming out of your shell as you are about to turn three. We're seeing progress that a few months ago I could not see. It has been nothing short of miraculous. You are making up your own songs, playing pretend, using more sentences, and letting your imagination show us what's going on in that brain of yours. I know the road ahead will have continued progress, but you will have hard days too. On those hard days I need to focus on the big pictures.
