As I said in the previous post, Evie is cutting teeth left and right. This is to be expected. She's a toddler. Toddler teeth. What I didn't expect was that Stephen would begin cutting his wisdom teeth at the same time Evie is cutting her molars. O.M.G. Last night my household sounded like funeral home with all the crying, whimpering, and groaning. Stephen was up until 2 when he finally got some relief from his teething pain. Of course, 30 minutes later Evie was up with her teething pains. I got up, got her some medicine, and rocked her for a long time. Even though it's a bummer that I did not get much sleep, when I walked into Evie's room last night I could physically feel the relief she got from my being there with her. I picked her up, and she immediately laid her head on my shoulder. She took her medicine then curled up into my lap for some early morning snuggles. I knew I'd be tired today, but I just let myself enjoy to the feel of a relaxing toddler on my shoulder for a while. About 30 minutes later I laid her back down. She slept a little bit better from then on. It was still pretty restless sleep, but I didn't have to go back in there. When I got back into our room, Stephen was snoring really loud and waking up quite often with his teething pains SO I didn't get back to sleep until shortly before 5. It was a long night for our family. Hopefully tonight is a little better. Stephen really could use some relief from his wisdom teeth pain. Let this be a lesson to all parents... PLEASE have your children's wisdom teeth removed when they are in high school. Get them out before they come in. Even if the child has enough room for the wisdom teeth to come in, save them the pain of cutting teeth, that really don't serve a purpose, as an adult. I can tell Stephen is really hurting, and I am just so grateful my parents got mine removed when I was a teenager. So thankful! Needless to say, we'll definitely be getting Evie's removed so that she doesn't have to go through what Stephen is going through right now when she is an adult.
