Greetings loyal blog followers! I
apologize for my recent absence. You’ll understand my brief hiatus when you
read my update below. I’m hoping that
after I recap the last couple of weeks I’ll get back in the habit of at least
updating this blog once a week.
Currently I am sitting in my mom and dad’s RV at Texas Motor Speedway. I’ve
got the monitor on while Evie is sleeping in our RV next door. Emily and Mom
are at the Garage Party at the track. Dad and Stephen have run out to get more
bottled water and some fountain sodas. They just taste so much better from a
fountain. Don’t you agree?
The last update I posted was Evie’s
8 month update. Since then her bottom left tooth is completely through the
gums. Her bottom right is just beginning to come up. She battled an intense
runny nose for almost two weeks while that tooth made its’ way through. In
hindsight, I now know what Evie is like when she is teething. She gets a very
runny nose. Her snot is clear and constantly running. Her diaper production
gets rather… explosive. She also requires a little more snuggling. Frozen fruit
and washcloths are a big hit! Evie also began crawling! She rarely uses rolling
as a mode of transportation any more.
Since the last update, Stephen
and I are considering relocation to Denver, CO. His work recently opened an
office there. He has spoken with his boss about the position that will become available there. We are awaiting a relocation package to be put together by his
company. If it is a nice package then there is a big chance we’ll take it. It’s
exciting and terrifying to think that we may be living outside of Texas. We’ve
both lived here our whole lives, but have always talked about moving out of
state.
Aside from catching Evie’s snot
and contemplating a move, the past two weeks have been pretty calm. ;-) We’re
currently at Texas Motor Speedway for the NASCAR races. Evie is a pretty good
camper, but it can be hard for her to get good naps with the constant flow of
people, trucks, and other noisy things. She also is thrown with the time
change. She woke up at 6:15 and then she was exhausted before this nap. 40
minutes later she’s up and ready to play. Le sigh. I’m headed to the track in a
couple of hours, so she’ll be Stephen’s mess this afternoon.
Well, I’m off to do the whole
Mother thing.
So exciting! North Denver/Ft Collins is our dream locale, so if it works out for you, maybe we'll see you there someday!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe office is actually in Broomfield which is north west of Denver.
DeleteCome on up!!! This is really a great state to live in. so much outdoor fun and great weather and no mosquitoes. guess I am a little biased!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the decisions.
