Evie is still not crawling, but just today she began working on getting herself into a sitting position from her rolling position. She is also cutting her first tooth, maybe even teeth. A corner pushed through but has since been covered by swelling. You can see the tooth at her gum lines though. We do not have her stats for this month. She'll go into the doctor for a 9 month check-up for those. She has been battling so major snot the past week. Probably due to the teething. She hasn't run a fever.

A quick recap of the past week or so...

When we attended Evie's finalization they let all of the families pick out a stuffed animal for their children. Stephen saw a bird among them and really wanted it. To be fair, from a distance it was cute and we often call Evie our baby bird because of her eagerness to eat. However, upon closer examination this is the most sad looking stuffed animal ever. It quickly became a joke that the stuffed animal we got had been attending finalizations for years waiting for someone to pick it.
Our sad stuffed bird. Ours forever.
Stephanie got Evie her very own jersey for finalization. Precious.
After finalization Dad did his race car driving while we did our ride-alongs at the raceway. It was quite the thrill ride! I had no idea how much force is on you when you're going 165mph! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for the 3 laps we did. I'd love to do it again some time.

Stephen is all smiles after his ride-along.
Speaking of racing, I've begun making our packing list for our next trip to the raceway for the NASCAR races. It's amazing how much stuff such a little person needs.

For the past month or so I've been sleeping on a heating pad. My back is just killing me. It's probably the 20lb weight that likes to be carried around with me so often. At least she's a cute little chunk.
My bedtime set-up for the past month.
I saw my team lose at home for the first time. Every home game I had been to until this game, I had seen them win. It was a sad day. The only silver lining was that the D from Run DMC sang at halftime. It was very entertaining!

I hope everyone is doing well. Here's hoping I can get a decent picture of Evie's tooth soon. She's a moving target all the time.
