E is a 36 week preemie, so she is just coming through her 6 month growth spurt. This was the most difficult spurt to date. She was ravenous and picked up an extra feeding right smack dab in the middle of the night. Yesterday she took an 8 ounce bottle in what seemed to be one gulp. Thankfully, we figured out that if we drop her cereal in the morning and add it in to her dinner instead, she went back to being a good sleeper (10 hour stretch followed by a 2 hour stretch). I'm not sad to see this stage go.
Tomorrow she turns 7 months old. We don't get stats until later this month when she goes in for her head measurement. If you missed the post on her head, you can read about it here. I expect that in the next month she'll be a proficient crawler. I also expect we will have a tooth and transition over to more solid finger foods. Right now her only finger food is Mum Mums, which she loves.
I am doing pretty well. My general well-being is totally tied to E. If she's having a good day, so am I. If E is having a diva day, look out. I've got a lot of work to do around the house this weekend to get it in a condition for the house keepers that is not embarrassing. I haven't been reading as much as I'd like to lately. I need to find some ME time to get to the library or check out some books online for my Kindle. I'd also sell a kidney for a massage or manicure one of these days. I managed to get my toes done a couple of weeks ago. It's funny that a pedicure makes me feel so much more put together. I'm getting my Fall hair color in a couple of weeks. I'm debating between red and a funky multi color frock.
Stephen is working away. He had a touch of the stomach flu last week. Thankfully it seems to have bypassed E and me. When he's home he is playing with E, feeding her dinner, or watching Sports Center on ESPN.
Welp, that's all of the blogging I can muster for today. I'll take E's 7 month photos tomorrow. Stay tuned to see her growth since last month.
