I Need A Yellow Light!

Slow down!
Life is moving far too fast these days! I feel like I wake up every morning, blink, and then I'm back in bed saying goodnight to the husband. Every day feels like I'm going and going all day long. Sure would be nice if things would slow down a bit, but I don't think that is going to happen until Lil E has moved off to college. Only 17.5 years...

This past weekend Lil E and I went to the lake to visit with some of our family that live in Colorado. We had a nice visit. I'm so grateful that my parents took the morning shifts with E, so that I could spend some extra time with my sister and cousins. I even scored two trips out on the boat to get some sun. It was a lovely trip, but I feel like the traveling messes with E's schedule. She's been out of sorts since we got back. I'm not 100% sure what the cause is, but I know poor thing wasn't enjoying the 5 hour drives. It may just be yet another growth spurt.

Lil E is a rolling fool these days. If you put her on her back she immediately rolls over onto her tummy. This doesn't surprise me at all because she has never liked being on her back. She is also pumping her legs doing what is best described as "pre-crawling." She is also getting pretty good at sitting up unassisted for longer periods of time. She'll still tump over, but not as fast. So far she has tried green beans, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, and squash. All seem to be good to her except for the green beans. We'll let her try a fruit next.

Stephen is busy with work, as usual. When he's not working he is usually watching the Olympics or entertaining Lil E in the evenings. I've been telling him to go take some time and golf, but it is just too blasted hot outside. In a couple of weeks Stephen turns 29. It's quite freaky that this is his last year in his twenties.

This week we have our final home visit from the adoption agency! I find that to be really exciting. We also have a kiddy birthday party on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon I'm visiting an former teacher friend of mine.

All in all, life is good but moving way too fast!
