Saturday Night Live

I'm blogging to my 5 loyal readers tonight live from a comfy corner of our bed. I've put Lil E down for bed, thrown back 3 ibuprofens and I'm laid out on a heating pad. It seems there is an area on my spine that is none too pleased with the 20 extra pounds I'm carrying around most of my days. Lil E has been a bit more snugglier than normal lately. I'm not sure if it's just a stage, she has figured out I'll hold her almost all the time, or perhaps it's just the soothing she needs as she is growing at warp speed. I'm done guessing why she does the things that she does. Every time I assume, ... Well you know what they say about assuming. Back to the back pain (see what I did there?), it's been going on for the past few days. I sometimes randomly struggle with back issues, but this is the most painful and persistent back pain I've had in a long time. If I don't get some relief in the next few days, I'm going to need to go into the doctor. I SO don't want to have to do that.

Today was our friend's son's birthday party. We took Lil E and hung for a while until she got sleepy. She just wouldn't give it up there. Way too much excitement that she wanted to be a part of. Maybe next year girly. By the time we backed out of the driveway she was out cold for almost 4 hours of napping! Insane.

While Lil E napped, Stephen manned the monitor while I met up with Allison (good friend from my teaching days). She has decided to leave the school where we used to teach together. I admire her for putting herself out there for God to use her wherever she needs to be. She just returned from a mission trip to Greece, and is now on the job hunt. She is such an energetic person! I know wherever she goes, she'll be a blessing.

Tonight we went to church and put Lil E in the nursery for the first time. We got a good report from the sweet lady who watched her. I'm hoping that was the truth, and not just a line they give everyone all the time. We both seem to really like the vision and mission of this new church. We continue to attend and meet new people who are warm and welcoming.

Well, the Olympics have caught my attention. Even though I already know the results, I still find myself getting anxious when I watch. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
