I Have No Response

My boss had the tenacity to look my in the eye today and refer to our involvement in the adoption process as, "your baby drama." Needless to say, my productivity has hit a new low. I had no witty comeback when she said it, I just let my head drop and began examining the number of split ends in my head of hair. This same woman has told me, "I'm they way I am, and I'm not changing." Therefore, I was not about to waste my energy engaging her. I am just shocked that she felt that was an appropriate statement to come out of her mouth. I am completely taken aback.
