I've stared at this blank box for no less than 15 minutes.
There's plenty going on in my life, I just can't decide the best way to start this post.
Do I start with what we've been doing these past couple of weeks? Do I dive right into what we're up to in the next few weeks? Do I share with you how wildly fast life is moving for our family?
I just don't know where to start.
I had a dream last night that I got back on Facebook. I had accidentally reactivated my account in the dream, and as soon as dream me realized what she did, I went to deactivate it again as soon as I could. I understand why dream Shelley was so quick to keep Facebook shut down. Occasionally I get on Stephen's just to see what a few very close family members are posting. In those short seconds and minutes, all I see is validation of my choice to shut 'er down.
Of course, without Facebook I have a responsibility to keep you guys in the loop.
Past Couple of Weeks:
We had a garage sale. It was wildly hot, but we made around $300. It also cleared out a lot of storage space in our house and garage. Evie and I have been enjoying our time off this summer. I'm so glad to have this time with her before she gets any older. This is probably my favorite age so far because she is just so silly and active. She's taking things in like a sponge too. She's repeating some words, inflections, and gestures that I make. I really have to watch my potty mouth. I'm still taking Evie to the gym, but it's still a struggle. She just cries the whole time I'm gone. :-(
What's Ahead:
Evie starts two day "school" in September. She'll go Wed and Fri from 9am-2pm. The thought of handing her over is heartbreaking, but I know that in time she'll LOVE the interaction with other kids her age. Since it's likely Evie will be our only child, I really want to make sure she's getting a lot of socialization with other kids and authority figures. Stephen has a meeting next Wednesday about a possible relocation to Denver. We'll see if he gets the offer. If he does, I'm hoping it's an obvious YES or NO for us to give them. Evie and I are headed to Austin this weekend to celebrate Evie's cousin's birthdays. The following week we are going to the dog show in Houston.
Life is moving so fast. In the blink of an eye things are growing and changing in our world. I suppose that's just a part of becoming a parent.
