It's been almost two weeks since I deactivated my Facebook. While I have quit this platform, I continue to use Twitter to follow a few family members, friends, sports and news outlets. I also continue to use Pinterest to find ideas for the home and kiddo. I know I've left some of you wondering why I made the decision to shut 'er down. Even after I give you some of the reasons that I arrived at this decision, some of you probably won't understand or agree with my choice. Good news, I don't need you to agree or approve!
So I present to you,
Some of the Reasons Why I Quit Facebook:
- Gross amount of offensive content
- Spending WAY too much time on it
- Inconsideration of others by pushing agendas
- Over sharing
- Ads
- Too many " "like" this or you want all puppies to die in the fiery pits of Mordor" type posts
- Sob stories. Save the drama for ya momma. There's a person in your life that wants to hear about all of your drama. I'm not that person. Neither are all 500 of your FB friends for that matter.
- Craving more personal relationships. I'm texting people, emailing, calling. It's direct, private and personal contact. I love it.
- It's not making me better.
So there ya have it folks. I'm loving my life without Facebook. Respect it.
Here's a pic of Evie to make up for my rant.
