We managed to get the nursery painted and a great deal of the house organized. After looking at examples of gender neutral nurseries, I knew we were going to have to do something different. Thankfully, Stephen decided to have an opinion on the colors! We both love the colors we selected!
What we expect the nursery to look like . . .

On Sunday, I volunteered to pick up at the city’s Fourth of July Celebration. If you read the title of the blog, you noticed I threw in the word “weep” up there. The city celebration was a good example of why that word made it in the title. I do not know why, but I have been a hormonal wreck lately. I cry over the most silly of things. Movies that I have literally seen countless times have reduced me to tears lately. At the stadium on Sunday, veterans were introduced followed by a 21 gun salute and Taps. I stood there and cried the whole time! It was so embarrassing. Thankfully I had sunglasses on, so I played it off as a runny nose. I really hope my hormone levels balance back out soon. I am not used to such emotional displays!
After my shift at the stadium we went over to our friend’s house. They are 8 and half months pregnant with a baby boy. I haven’t seen them much lately so it was nice to catch up! I also got to meet up with Jen and BJ! It was double the fun seeing them all together!
Catching up with friends!
Monday we worked some more in the nursery-to-be before we were kicked out by the cleaning crew. We used that time away from the house to run some errands and make a lunch trip into Houston to eat at Chuy’s with Jen and BJ. When we got back we did a little more work then headed over to my parent’s house to swim and eat dinner. I made Rachel’s Fluff for dessert with a S ‘Mores twist! It was absolutely delicious!
Well, I made it through today’s blog update without getting teary-eyed. It did take an effort!
Yummy! S 'More Fluff!
