Don't get carried away... by the mosquitoes!

Right now our area is battling a dual mosquito outbreak! We are currently experiencing an outbreak of both salt marsh and fresh water mosquitoes. This means that we are doing our best to stay indoors and keep the doors closed as much as possible. Despite our best efforts, the little jerks still manage to make it to their feast on our legs, arms, and faces! Don't be mistaken, I LOVE Texas, but this level of mosquitoes is far beyond the norm. In addition to trying to protect ourselves, we've been crating our dogs during the day to keep them from being attacked in the backyard. The county has been spraying late at night, but I don't think it's make the slightest impact on the infestation. I suppose all we can do is keep doing what we're already doing and pray the little jerks move on soon!

Stephen and I saw the movie, Inception, twice this weekend. We absolutely LOVED it! It was such an original story and the actors were wonderful! The soundtrack to this movie is also incredible! The music added another level of awesome to the story. Several scenes I sat there thinking, this movie is great but this music is the icing on the cake! Go see Inception!

Our brother-in-law deploys to Afganistan on Thursday so we've been trying to spend time with him before he leaves. On Friday and Saturday evening we had dinner together. We'll have a big family get-together on Tuesday evening. He's scheduled to be over there for a couple of months. Please pray for his safety and a speedy deployment! He loves what he does, but it sure makes his family nervous when he deploys!

On Thursday evening we're going out to my FAVORITE restaurant, Sambuca's, with my family. Everything on their menu is amazing, so I am looking forward to such a treat. After Sambuca's we're headed over to the Houston Symphony's Tribute to the band Queen. It's going to be awesome and probably hilarious.

Friday afternoon we're headed to San Antonio for the weekend. We plan to hit up the zoo on Saturday morning and spend the remainder of the weekend walking the Riverwalk and enjoying each other's company. We haven't had a weekend away, just the two of us, in quite a while. Thanks to my folks for dog-watching for us!

Stephen and I will be working on getting our profiles off the ground this week. We are very happy that our caseworker is back in the office! If any exciting adoption news comes, we'll let you know.
