Random Thoughts & Observations

• Texas Children's Hospital is incredibly efficient.
• We get a lot of smiles when we go out. I love it.
• We also get stared at a lot when we go out. I smile. I love it.
• Evie is gaining weight quickly. I'm cool with this since she was only in the 50% for her weight class at her last appointment.
• My 28th birthday snuck up on me. It's next week!
• I'm looking forward to dinner and a movie with my hubby tomorrow night. We're going to go see The Hunger Games. FINALLY.
• We're having a shower for Evie on Saturday. It's "Come and Go" for 3 hours. I hope she is a good sport about it.
• Evie has her 2 month appointment in a couple of weeks. She'll get a round of vaccinations, so I'm probably going to be a wreck.
• My daughter is flatulent. We refer to it as her "thunder down under". She is unfazed by it, but it always makes us laugh.
• Evie was a champ at the orthopedic doctor today. He laid her out on the table and really worked her hips and legs. She was totally sweet and cooperative. Hopefully I can learn that from her.
• I am getting over my aversion to taking Evie out. It's getting easier to pack her up, and she LOVES the ride. I figure it's best to start her now so she's used to it when she becomes more aware.
• I'm still hoping that there is some way we can go to the races next weekend, but I just don't know if that's going to happen. Husband is not a fan of racing, but I've told him I'd return the favor with a couple rounds of golf. We shall see.
• We're going to attempt our first trip to church this Sunday. Wish us luck!
