No "Wine"ing From Me

Cinq Cepages Reserve by Chateau St Jean.

Sometimes I get a huge, in yo' face, reminder that I have some really great friends. Yesterday was definitely one of those times.

Several months ago, we had our friend Chris over to catch up on what had been going on in his world. We don't see him very often because his work hours are nutty, and I'm a failure and making regular plans to stay in touch apparently. (That's a whole other blog post on my shortcomings as a friend) Stop digressing, Shelley!

Anyways, Chris came over that day and we shared a bottle of Chateau St Jean's 2007 Cinq Cepages Cabernet Sauvignon. I do not drink a lot, but this is absolutely my favorite wine of all time. Chris manages a local market, so he noticed that it was a nice wine. No Boone's Farm for me! Flash forward to yesterday, I get a text from Chris with a picture of the Reserve collection of that wine! He tells me they got a few bottles of it in, and I quickly ask him where I can find it. Sweetheart that he is, pulls me a bottle and brings it by my house last night on his way home from work! God bless him!

As we were winding down for bed last night, I was recapping this story to my dear husband.  I paused after I got done telling him about the sweet gesture and declared Chris a wonderful reminder that we have some really caring and thoughtful friends. Heartwarming moment!

Sometimes a swear is the only word that adequately describes your gratitude.
