Getting Centered

I had this lovely post all typed up yesterday and as I went to go click "Publish Post" my Internet Explorer quit on me. It didn't save the draft, so I was left frustrated and decided to post an old post I had worked on. Today I'll attempt to pull all of the ideas I had so neatly typed out and organized yesterday out of the back of my brain.

The General Idea:
I have so many things going through my mind, and my to-do list is growing steadily. I am having a hard time remembering the real reason for all of these preparations. It's Christmas, and I should figure out ways to get centered on that when I am feeling the pull towards busyness or stress.

What Am I Talking About:
Besides the fact that I'll be traveling more than 3000 miles and over 50 hours to various places (all in a car, mind you) in the next 12 days, I also have to pack for those trips, finish up Christmas shopping, get my house in order, coordinate pet care, prepare for a work luncheon, and so much more.

How I'm Trying To Center On Christmas:
Listening to Christmas Music
Turning on the Christmas Tree Lights
Reading my Bible
Prayer, Prayer, Prayer
Displaying Christmas Cards

Plea For Help:
If you have any suggestions for getting centered, please share. I feel like this season is slipping away, and I haven't really even gotten that into it yet.
