On Sunday we observed the 4/5th grade Sunday School classes that takes place at 9:30am. As the classroom began to fill up, it became very obvious that there is a huge need for this class to get split up. There were almost 30 children in the room with one teacher. It's a grade level I understand, and I feel right at home with the direction they are taking the class. Unfortunately, after one guitar riff in the contemporary worship service, I knew I would not be able to feel a connection to this worship service. I feel so guilty that my worship preference will keep me from teaching a class that I'm sure would have been a good fit. The torn feeling totally stinks, but I am confident that we have to feel a connection to our worship or feel we are being spiritually fed. This coming Sunday we will observe the 1st grade Sunday School class that meets at 11:00am. This class would allow us to continue to attend the 9:30am Traditional/Blended Service that we love so much. In the mean time, we pray to God that he shows us the best path to serving Him at our church. There are several new ministries coming to our church that are pulling at our hearts, and we know that all we need to do is trust that the Lord will show us where we are best suited. On Sunday evening we'll be attending a brainstorming session for starting an Adoption Ministry at church. I am really praying this ministry becomes a great success!
Are they perhaps able to have two 4th grade classes at different times?
