We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Granny Jackie last week. While we were there, Dad and I sat outside as a cold front blew in. I have never done this before, and it was AWESOME! We watched as the weather vane on the shed changed directions completely. It dropped down to below 30 degrees that evening. Of course, three days later it's in the upper 80's. While I love Texas, my sinuses do not share the feeling during this time of the year. The temps flip-flop so radically that my head just can't handle it! I'm grateful that Sudafed seems to be doing the trick. One of my sweet girlfriends here, is not so lucky. She has pneumonia! Poor thing! So, yes I'm happy Christmas time is here. I just wish the weather would get consistent.
This weekend we're headed up to the lake for the weekend. I plan on getting some Christmas Gift shopping done at the cute stores in town. Stephanie and Hayden are meeting us in Marble Falls for a night. It'll be great to see them! I'm trying to remember the last time I saw them... it was in October.
We have now officially been "Approved and Waiting" for four months. The wait has gone great so far. We're keeping so busy that we aren't left with much time to dwell on the process. Here's hoping that the wait continues to be smooth.
