The Waiting Game

Still no word on when our Home Study and Interview will be. I am doing my best to be patient, but anyone that knows me knows this is not a strength of mine. I keep telling myself that it is out of my hands now. There is nothing I can do to expedite the process now. I keep reminding myself “Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” Isaiah 30:18

This weekend we are headed to Marble Falls. We’ll spend time on the lake on Saturday and head into Austin on Sunday for Hayden’s dedication at the Hall’s church. My Esther bible study is ending next Monday. I have really enjoyed the study and the women participating in it. I’ll definitely do another weeknight study. Next week will be a bit busy at work. We have an event on Friday, May 14. Perhaps that will take my mind off of “The Waiting Game” for a few days.

We’re also eager for our weekend at the beach later this month. We’ve rented a nice beach house with several college friends that we don’t get to see as often as we like. It will be awesome to be together again. I know that this won’t happen very often, if at all, as we get older. I’m looking for meal/entertainment suggestions for that weekend. If you know of a delicious meal that feeds 10 or a fun game, please let me know. Our time with friends precious to us!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Remember to show love to others every chance you get! This is something I am really working on doing. Life gets so rushed sometimes, people forget that the rush isn’t what it’s all about. Showing love to others is definitely a part of what life is all about.
